The MX Procurement Specialist is responsible for providing timely support to each assigned maintenance base with the effective sourcing and procurement of parts, components and services for the maintenance to be performed.

Responsibilities

General Duties
  • Ensure all work is conducted in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Application of the principles of the “Atlantic Attitude” at all times.
  • Communication of work progress and significant issues with appropriate Management.
Essential duties and responsibilities include (but not limited to):
  • Provide pricing and availability to Lead Technicians or other local management as requested.
  • Follow guidelines for arrival date when placing orders with vendors.
  • Research vendor part pricing and purchase parts to fill orders.
  • Daily run to FedEx for package pick-up.
  • Receive parts into operating system for maintenance or stock orders.
  • Perform and document receiving inspections on part sales on all incoming parts.
  • Deliver invoices and packing lists to appropriate administrative team for processing.
  • Manage customer owned parts sent out for repair.
  • Generate shipping documentation for shipments to vendors.
  • Ship all Hazardous Material items (with certification only).
  • Alert local management of any part return.
  • File vendor claims and process core returns as required.
  • Pull parts from stock as requested and provide associated documentation.
  • Perform data entry of work order and supply transactions into the operating system.
  • Review open work orders for maintenance and ensure all pricing is entered correctly.
  • Attend daily meeting with Lead Technicians and Operations Manager to discuss workflow/workload and parts issues, if any.
  • Work with all technicians to ensure correct parts are being ordered
  • After parts are received deliver to appropriate Lead Technician and/or Technician on the shop floor.
  • Prepare documentation and ship all parts going out for repair, that belong to aircraft on the shop floor being worked on.
  • Prepare and ship all core returns, and parts returns, that vendors and or customers have requested back.
  • Assist all Maintenance Satellite facilities (including AOG teams) with consumables, office supplies, tooling requests, etc.

Skills & Qualifications

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED equivalent
At least 18 years of age
Must maintain a valid state driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task.
Flexible work schedule may include working overtime, nights, on weekends, holidays, and be on call.
PREFERRED
Experience with vendor management and/or purchasing.
