The Quality Control Supervisor is primarily responsible for the oversight as well as execution of all duties related to the facility’s daily quality controls functions.  This position will ensure the equipment and personnel that delivers the fuels meets all safety guidelines as outline by the company and appropriate governing agencies.

Responsibilities

General Duties
  • Supervise and facilitate performance of Quality Control personnel.
  • Ensure all operations are conducted in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain high levels of safety and customer service.
  • Function as a Line Service Technician as needed.
  • Application of the principles of the “Atlantic Attitude” at all times.
  • Communication of work progress and significant issues with the Operations Manager and/or General Manager.
  • Communication of Atlantic standards, and relevant material, to Quality Control personnel.
  • Comply with all airport authority rules and regulations including AOA operations and airport security requirements.
  • Participate in continuous training including NATA programs and company designed curriculum.
Essential duties and responsibilities include (but not limited to):
  • Maintain site practices and procedures that contribute to a safe, profitable, positive, and enjoyable work environment.
  • Train, coach, evaluate, and develop new hire employees in accordance with established procedures.
  • Match personnel talent to company need to ensure maximum employee engagement and company benefit.
  • Organize periodic shift meetings and facilitate communication between shift personnel and management.
  • Help organize and execute employee development, and performance improvement plans.
  • Assist in recruiting, interviewing, and selecting candidates for Quality Control positions.
  • Enforce good housekeeping practices and uniform standards to employees.
  • Initiate emergency and incident response procedures as required.
  • Ensure proper staffing and delegate work assignments to all Quality Control personnel.
  • Perform fuel quality tests on applicable equipment in accordance with ATA form 103.
  • Sump fuel farm tanks and trucks, recording results on appropriate paperwork.
  • Inspect fuel farm for proper signage and ensure safety equipment is in working order.
  • Conduct monthly milapour tests, note results and store samples according to company and ATA 103 guidelines.  Report any discrepancies immediately to management.
  • Acceptance and control checks of fuel received into site operated fuel storage system(s).
  • Conduct weekly, monthly and yearly maintenance such as fuel filter changes.  Record results on appropriate paperwork.
  • Assist with airport, fuel supplier and airline audits of fueling facilities.
  • Maintain appropriate safety equipment on hand such as cones, ear plugs, reflective vest, etc.
  • When needed, perform duties of a Line Service Technician.
  • Operate fuel trucks, tugs, baggage handling and various other pieces of equipment as needed.
  • Perform periodic checks of all equipment and facilities and document findings.

Skills & Qualifications

  • High school graduation.
  • Minimum of 18 years of age.
  • At least two (2) years of experience as a Line Service Technician.
  • Good communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Consistently demonstrated good organizational and leadership skills.
  • Must maintain a valid state driver’s license and meet company’s insurability requirements.
  • Fuel handling experience required.
  • Ability to comprehend and perform basic math calculations with minimal errors.
  • Customer relations skills required.
