The Line Service Supervisor’s primary function is to anticipate the needs of the customer and assign tasks to subordinate personnel that meet and exceed the customer’s expectation in a safe and efficient manner within timeframe of the assigned shift. Line Supervisor’s will maintain and establish a positive working relationship with all customers, while promoting a harmonious working environment for subordinate employees. Responsibilities

  • Maintain site practices and procedures that contribute to a safe, profitable, positive, and enjoyable work environment while applying the “Atlantic Attitude” at all times. Participate in Atlantic Leadership Training.
  • Train, coach, evaluate, and develop new hire employees in accordance with established procedures.
  • For facilities without a Line Service Manager (dependent upon base structure), will enforce company policy and procedures. Administer disciplinary action as directed by the Operations Manager or General Manager.
  • Assist in recruiting, interviewing, and selecting candidates for Line Service positions. Match personnel talent to company need to ensure maximum employee engagement and company benefit.
  • Organize periodic shift meetings and facilitate communication between shift personnel and management.
  • Help organize and execute employee development, and performance improvement plans.
  • Design and facilitate appropriate daily communication with Customer Service Representatives to ensure service accuracy and completeness.
  • Initiate incident reporting, investigation, and assist in solution planning and implementation for prevention of reoccurrence.
  • Enforce good housekeeping practices and uniform standards to employees.
  • Initiate emergency and incident response procedures as required.
  • Ensure proper staffing and delegate work assignments for all Line Service Technicians.
  • Provide employees assigned to the shift honest communication regarding performance expectations including areas of personal strength and needed development.
  • Monitor and update daily aircraft arrivals and departure requirements. Ensure timely service that meets customer expectations.
  • Interface with customers to ensure all servicing requirements are met and that customers are satisfied with our service.
  • Resolve customer service issues and communicate issues to the appropriate staff.
  • Enforce company policy and procedures. Administer disciplinary action as directed by the Operations Manager and General Manager.
  • Inspect entire facility for cleanliness and proper equipment operation. Report all facility discrepancies to the Line Manager or Operations Supervisor.
  • Monitor and maintain proper fuel inventory at the storage facility
  • Keep fueling equipment and courtesy cars in presentable condition.
  • Operate fuel trucks, tugs, baggage handling and various other pieces of equipment as needed.
  • Sump fuel trucks on daily basis and perform daily checks in accordance with ATA 103 and NFPA 407
  • Receive aviation fuel deliveries into storage tanks after completing hydrometer test for quality assurance.
  • Oversee daily quality assurance and accuracy of paperwork and auditing of fuel paperwork.
  • Any additional duties that may be specific or unique to your location assigned by Management.

Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED certificate.
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • 2 years of line service experience.
  • Valid state driver’s license and meet the company’s insurability requirements.
  • Aptitude for supervising staff.
  • Meet Atlantic Aviation’s operations and safety training requirements.
  • Consistently demonstrated good organizational and leadership skills.
  • Good communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Excellent customer relations and leadership skills required.
  • Ability to comprehend and perform basic math calculations with minimal errors.
  • Flexible work schedule may include working overtime, nights, on weekends, holidays, and be on call.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is exposed outside weather conditions which may include wet and/or humid conditions, extreme heat and cold; high, precarious places; vibration; chemicals including aviation fuels, oils and  lavatory fluid. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
