The Lead Ground Service Equipment Mechanic is responsible to the GSE Manager for the maintenance and repair of all FBO’s mechanical equipment including various facility repairs. This position is responsible for the direction of all employees assigned to the shift. All equipment is maintained in accordance with the appropriate weekly, monthly, quarterly or yearly preventive maintenance programs.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum one (1) year experience as a GSE Mechanic.
- Good communication skills, both written and oral.
- Good organizational skills.
- Prefer knowledge have work experience in aircraft ground support equipment diagnostics and repair, heavy equipment repair, diesel engines, drive systems, transmissions, hydraulic pumps and servos, and general equipment maintenance specific to the identified equipment.
- Hands-on experience in the maintenance and repair of the identified equipment and be capable of utilizing the mechanical tools of the trade, including diagnostic tools, as required by the essential job functions.
- Valid state driver’s license and at least 18 years of age.
- Good organizational skills.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; outside weather conditions including extreme heat and cold; chemicals including aviations fuels, oils and lavatory fluid. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
