The Talent, Employee Communications & Engagement Manager will join a highly collaborative team and organization requiring an exceptional ability to work as a team member in support of the business.  This is an individual contributor position requiring expertise in Talent & Leadership Development, Employee & Internal Communications, and Employee Engagement Programs. Atlantic Aviation operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year at many locations. Flexibility is required for availability to meet the needs of the business requiring evening and weekend availability if needed.
 
Atlantic Aviation offers a hybrid work schedule however, in-office presence will be required for at least four days per week during the training period. 

Responsibilities

The primary objective for this position is to provide support for employee and managers to the field for a predominately hourly workforce by implementing established human resources programs and initiatives directly in support of the field. The employee base is highly dispersed across the country and this position requires a high-touch and highly service-minded approach to supporting employees and managers from the centralized human resources team within the corporate office. Hourly employees do not have email addresses or computer access to finding ways to reach this population effectively is a key challenge that we are looking for this person to help solve.  

The key responsibilities for this role are:

  • Leadership Development responsibilities in packaging leadership content for delivery to make our leaders better and resources that we can provide to help all of our talent better develop.
  • Managing all aspects of Employee and internal communications, with the field being the largest audience.
  • Driving Employee Engagement by owning the aspects of our survey process, actions, follow up, results tracking including all feedback channels – Indeed, Glassdoor, New Hire and Rehire Surveys and Exit Interview Survey, and the Employee Engagement Annual Survey. Working hard to identify and address areas that are barriers to inclusion and engagement for our employees. Finding ways to help GMs engage more meaningfully and directly with employees.

General Duties                                                                              
Talent & Leadership Development:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive talent development programs aimed at identifying and nurturing high-potential employees.
  • Collaborate with leadership to determine current and future talent needs and how to effectively develop leaders in key roles.
  • Design and facilitate leadership development workshops, training sessions, and mentorship programs to enhance leadership capabilities across all levels of the organization.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to assess the effectiveness of talent development initiatives and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Partner with HR Generalists to identify individual development needs and create personalized development plans for key talent.
 
Employee and Internal Communications:
  • Develop and execute an internal communications strategy to ensure consistent messaging and alignment with organizational goals and values.
  • Create engaging content for internal communication channels, including newsletters, flyers, emails, and town hall meetings. Tell employee stories through photos and articles highlighting positive contributions of our employees.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and disseminate information about company initiatives, milestones, and updates.
  • Act as a liaison between leadership and employees, ensuring transparency and open communication channels.
  • Monitor employee feedback and sentiment through surveys and feedback mechanisms and develop strategies to address areas for improvement.
 
Employee Engagement:
  • Design, implement, and manage employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Conduct regular surveys and assessments to measure employee engagement levels and identify areas of opportunity.
  • Develop and implement broader recognition and reward programs to celebrate employee milestones, achievements and contributions.
  • Organize employee events, team-building activities, and volunteer opportunities to promote a sense of belonging and inclusion.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, or Administration, or a related field highly preferred.
  • Desire 5 years of experience in human resources, talent management, or organizational development roles.
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing talent development programs and initiatives.
  • Ability to work highly independently to drive initiatives forward.
  • Strong understanding of internal communications principles and experience managing communication channels.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences.
  • Experience with employee engagement strategies, including survey design, analysis, and action planning.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with HRIS and communication tools preferred.
  • Strong graphics and design ability to create visually appealing and engaging content.
