The Network Engineer IV is responsible for supporting all Atlantic Locations and understanding the IT needs of the bases.  As a part of the Network team, this is responsible for all aspects of the network including planning, design, and maintenance of corporate data systems and will report to the Systems and Network Operations Manager.  The Network Engineer is considered a Tier III support technician and will be called upon by Tier I and II techs for guidance.  The Tier III technicians are the senior technicians within the IT Department; they lead, train, and set the example for the Tier I and II technicians.  Tier III technicians are expected to execute job responsibilities in a timely fashion with little guidance and input from management. 


General Responsibilities 
  • Strong working knowledge of FBO operations, customer service principles and the Atlantic Aviation service philosophy 
  • Foster and maintain professional work relationships with operational leaders and co-workers 
  • Customer service and support of all Tier 1, 2 and 3 Information Technology functions 
  • Attention to Safety, Standards, and Security when conducting tasks 
  • Adhere to the principles of the “Atlantic Attitude” as all times 
  • Compliance with all Company policies and procedures 
  • Able to effectively troubleshoot problems and clearly understand how to either solve or who to escalate the problem to 

Skills & Qualifications

  • Technical Proficiency with the following vendor technologies: 
  • Palo Alto Networks (Basic configuration and troubleshooting, Global Protect Remote Access) 
  • Cisco Meraki (MX, MS, and MR series) 
  • Technical Skills 
  • Proficient knowledge of Enterprise LANs and WANs  
  • Experience with switched Ethernets, VLANs, layer three switching, and dynamic routing (EIGRP, OSPF, RIP, BGP)  
  • +SNMP Network Management platforms / interoperability  
  • Understanding of SIP technologies and the network’s effect on their performance 
  • Familiarity with MPLS, Wireless, Radio Point-to-Point, and Ethernet 
  • Comprehensive knowledge of network packets including the ability to analyze and debug layers 17 
  • Extensive experience of multilayer switches and routers 
  • Extensive experience of firewall, VPN operation, and troubleshoot Cisco/ASA/Palo Alto firewalls. 
  • Experience with administering and troubleshooting Wireless products and access points
