The Inventory Reconciliation Specialist is responsible for supporting a compliance activity in an efficient, timely, and professional manner. The role will be tasked with interacting with management to execute, track, and evaluate the compliance activities. This will involve documenting and communicating the status of all activities, raising awareness of any discrepancies identified while evaluating the activity.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for independently maintaining accurate and complete daily reports.
  • Obtain Audit evidence.
  • Communicate work progress and significant issues with the Senior Internal Auditor.
  • Tally daily inventory amounts.
  • Report discrepancies between physical counts and computer records.
  • Notify clearly and accurately with Management on conflicting or overlooked information within an activity.
  • Collaborate with teams including Accounting, Internal Audit, IT Operations, IT Security and HR
  • Ability to understand IT issues and resolve conflicts with Management and Senior Internal Auditor 
  • Ability to develop working relationships with business, and a broad understanding of business processes in order to translate technical issues into business-related decision points. 
  • Comply with company policies and procedures as well as applicable laws and regulations.
  • Interact with other Atlantic employees and customers in a courteous and professional manner.

Skills & Qualifications

  • At least three (3) years of work experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
  • Minimum of Associates Degree.
  • Familiar with a variety of the accounting/inventory/audit field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Excellent math and analytical skills.
  • Solid computer skills.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Ability to complete tasks accurately within established timelines. 
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse individuals including local & remote offices, auditors, etc.
  • Minimum of 18 years of age.
  • Previous customer service experience.
  • Good listening and communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Must maintain a valid state driver’s license.
  • Proficiency in use of MS Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook.
