The IT Asset Manager is responsible for overseeing the lifecycle management of all IT assets within the organization. This role will play a crucial role in ensuring that our IT assets are accounted for, maintained, and utilized effectively to support our business operations. Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain comprehensive asset management policies, procedures, and documentation.
- Implement and manage an IT asset inventory system to track all hardware, software, and related components.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure accuracy and compliance with asset management policies.
- Collaborate with procurement, finance, and IT teams to optimize asset procurement processes and costs.
- Monitor asset usage and performance metrics to identify opportunities for optimization and cost savings.
- Coordinate the disposal and/or recycling of obsolete or end-of-life assets in accordance with environmental and data security standards.
- Ensure compliance with software licensing agreements and maintain an accurate software license inventory.
- Provide regular reports and updates on asset management metrics, including inventory levels, asset lifecycle status, and compliance.
- Stay informed about industry best practices, trends, and technologies related to IT asset management.

- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
- Proven experience (3-5 years) in IT asset management or a related field, with a solid understanding of asset management principles and practices.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of asset management tools and software (e.g., ServiceNow, Flexera, etc.).
- Familiarity with software licensing agreements and compliance requirements.
- Certifications such as Certified IT Asset Manager (CITAM) or similar would be advantageous.
- Experience in implementing or managing IT asset management processes in a large organization.
- Experience with cloud-based asset management solutions and virtualized environments.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
